About the programme
Lack of funds should never be a hurdle in chasing your dreams. With this in mind, ManpowerGroup India collaborated with Hi-5 Youth Foundation, an NGO, to construct a basketball court and offer life skills to kids from low-income households in the states of Maharashtra, Kolkata, and Telangana. It lasted for more than 4 years and helped kids realize their ambitions of playing sports professionally.
How did we do it?
Planned in the 3 big states of Maharashtra, Telangana, and Kolkata, "Hope thru Hoops" project facilitated the construction of 5 basketball courts initially.
Coaches built and trained the team for tournaments.
"Pathway to success" programme was initiated for older children to provide financial support for completing education.
